It was suggested to me by a friend to check out a site called Zen Habits. This site has some really great little life pointers that can help you through some rough patches or even if you're just looking to boost the positivity in your life.
Not everything here will pertain to every person who browses through it, but I've picked through the lessons and ideas and found some that really help me out when I find myself in a bit of a muddy mood.
It is also great for creativity. If you're finding yourself suffering from major writer's block, some of these articles can really help you break out of that.
Here is an article to start with that I find myself frequently checking back on to make sure I'm keeping up with the big points made here. It's called "20 Thing I Wish I Had Known When I Was Starting Out In Life."

This is great! I was just linked to the website you had and read some of the things Zen had to say about loveing life, not stuff. If everyone could live their lives through experience and not objects, we would all deffinitly be a lot happier! You never hear anyone on their death bed saying "bring me my awards and trophies, so I can see them one last time" lol they are surrounding themselves with loved ones, because thats what really matters!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to go view this website!
ReplyDeleteI checked out that article, and it definitely made some great points. Even though some parts haven't affected me personally or some I might not agree with, it got me thinking. I also liked the bloggers honesty about the topic. Even though he was stating points for younger people to follow, he was honest in saying he didn't regret anything he had done in his past and wouldn't change any of it.
ReplyDeleteExactly, for instance I pick and choose the ones that tend to really effect my normal life, certain aspects there don't really fit me so I'm not going to go out of my way to make them work. But the ones that do pertain, can be a great way to keep me feeling good about everything.
ReplyDeleteThis site is quite interesting! I constantly think about choices in life and how I sometimes wish I knew what was going to come so this blog really does make a difference. I agree that some of the advice does not relate to every person but most of the ideas can be applied in some way. Or even if they are not going to be applied, at least this site makes you gain a new perspective on certain topics at the end of the day.
